St. John’s Area School is a Catholic elementary School of the St. Cloud
Diocese located in Foley, Minnesota, serving students from
Pre-Kindergarten to grade 6. St. John’s Area School was
established the fall of 1963 and is supported by 7 parishes. Families from the towns of
Oak Park, Ronneby, Ramey, Pease, Milaca, Santiago, Clear Lake, Becker, Sauk Rapids, Mayhew Lake, and Rice are also welcome to attend SJAS.
The teachers and staff work diligently to plan a productive year for the children in our
school. A comprehensive curriculum is in place designed to meet the
required State standards as well as Diocesan standards. Parents are
encouraged to visit and ask questions.
Parents and families are the primary educators of their children and
our goal is to establish an environment that supports you in the
development of your child. As a Catholic elementary school, our first goal is to
help in the faith development of your child through regular religious
instruction and participation in daily prayers and weekly Masses. We
strongly believe in the education of the whole child while providing an
environment that allows children to experience education in a positive

students per class, while 4th through 6th grade are limited to 25
students per class. Currently, the average class size is 15 students.
